Eszter Győrffy
National leader

Since the beginning of 2023, Esther has been the leader of the Scripture Union and a member of the Board of Trustees. In addition to her pastoral training, she is also a history and religion teacher. Accordingly, she has had a wide range of work, the most rewarding of which is her 15 years of university ministry. In addition to her leadership of the Scripture Union, she has been responsible for promoting and presenting the missionary work of the Union, especially the publications of the Cross Issues.

She is married, her husband previously worked for the Scripture Union. They have three boys and are members of the Reformed Church of Fasor.


Tamás Daxner

Camp coordinator

Tamás has been a camp organiser with the Scripture Union since February 2008. Previously he worked as a travel organiser and a pastry chef. His main tasks include coordinating the work of the foundation, international relations, developing and implementing new ideas, and participating in the organisation and running of summer camps. His favourite band is Audiomachine.


Zsófia Mihalkovics

Publication developer, editor

Zsófi joined the Scripture Union Hungary team in February 2019. Her tasks include developing and editing old and new publications, writing newsletters, managing our website and Facebook page (posts, ads), and editing the Roadsign youth Bible reading guide and it’s new online version: She and her family are pillar members of the Pestszentlőrinci Evangelical Congregation. She regularly participates in worship services as a children’s worker and music minister. Her hobbies include painting, music, hiking, sports and baking.


Ágnes Lukács Váriné

Office leader

Ági started to wok with us in January 2015. Her main tasks include selling our books,  managing stock, handling subscriptions and general office work. She is a member of  Pasarét Reformed Church in Budapest. Her hobby is taking photographs. She enjoys listening to organ and other classical music.
