A special opportunity – Fundraising campaigns for SU Hungary in 2026

A special opportunity – for one full year: Thanks to a support programme, we can double all incoming donations if we establish a steady circle of regular donors. Your regular support is now worth twice as much!

An invitation to continue a shared ministry

• Perhaps you have attended one of our camps.
• Perhaps you have served as a volunteer. .
• Perhaps you have written a devotion in our Útjelző / Út-on Bible reading guide.
• Perhaps you have our Út-on app on your phone.

However you have been connected to the work of the Scripture Union Hungary, you know from experience: this ministry has a real impact. We believe that every young person has the right to encounter God’s Word – at camp, through an app, in a publication, anywhere. We would like to give you a glimpse behind the scenes and invite you to be part of what comes next.

Beyond your regular prayers, the greatest help to us is your financial support for our wide-ranging ministry.

The foundation without which nothing would work

The basis of our work is a stable background – but this is far from guaranteed. Our most basic costs – staff salaries, office rent and utilities – place a constant burden on the foundation. On top of that, our office is in need of heating and electrical renovation, and we are also in urgent need of new computers.

This is why we want to build a community of 500 supporters who will stand with us contributing at least £7 per month. It is not a large amount – but if many people commit to it, it provides a stable foundation for years to come.
We would be delighted if you were one of the 500!

As we mentioned at the start, thanks to a matching programme, your £7 will be worth £14 to us every month for 12 months.

If you would like to join, please indicate your intention by completing this FORM. Within the matching program, no personal data will be shared. Only the number of supporters and the total amount donated will be reported.

Thank you for considering supporting our mission!

If you would like to support one of our specific mission areas, that option is also available:

Út-on application

What can you buy today for 35p? Incredible as it may seem, that is enough to bring the message of the Bible to one young person every day. Scripture Union Hungary has been running the Út-on Bible-reading app since 2024, which is already read daily by 700–800 young people, with over 100 more accessing it via the website or social media. This app connects Hungarian young people living across different parts of the world into one community.

With your regular support, you can help us keep the Bible accessible to young people every day – choose the level that is right for you:

• Walker – £2.20/month (the price of a student county travel pass): one young person can read the Bible daily for a week
• Travel Companion – £4.35/month (the price of a student national travel pass): even more young people can encounter the Word and devotionals daily
• Explorer – £11.50/month: we can share richer content through the app – recommendations, Spotify playlists
• Road Builder – £23/month: you contribute to app development, making communal Bible reading possible
• World Traveller – £35/month: you help ensure that Hungarian young people anywhere in the world can be reached by the Word of God

Summer English Camps

In the summer of 2026, we are organising English Bible camps in at least six congregations, proclaiming the Gospel with Hungarian and English-speaking volunteers to approximately 220 children. Your donation can help with camp preparations, materials and our volunteer training weekend.

Publications & Christianity Explored

Our wide range of mission, evangelism and youth group lesson-plan publications support the ministry of congregations. Particularly impactful are Kereszt-kérdések (Christianity Explored), the Vadóc youth novel series and our camp publications. With your support, we could publish new materials and offer them at more affordable prices, furthering the mission.

Remember: every Forint/Pound/Euro (HUF, GBP, EUR) you give now will be matched and doubled through this programme for a full year!

Thank you for keeping this work in your prayers, and for standing with us through your support if you are able!
